Aggregate Modeling of Multipurpose Plant-Operation
This paper is concerned with a method for producing accurate aggregate models of multipurpose plant operation, An aggregate formulation is generated automatically from a detailed discrete-time formulation and represents a strict relaxation of it. The aggregate formulation can be solved in considerably less computational time and often gives a tight upper bound on the solution to the original formulation. An example is presented and potential applications of this approach are discussed.
