Fabrication of zinc oxide nanorods
ZnO nanorods with diameters of 10-200 nm were fabricated through a simple gas reaction method. They were characterized by means of powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). FE-SEM and TEM images showed that the product was composed of nanorods with lengths from several to tens microns. XRD and EDX indicated that the nanorods were hexagonal ZnO.
