The influence of accelerated crucible rotation mode on the melt temperature field in the Stockbarger technique
In model experiments with ethanol, the effect of the ACRT rotation mode on temperature field and flow velocity in the melt has been determined for the Stockbarger technique in the crucibles of 100 mm in diameter at Taylor number Ta>10(8). The optimum conditions of melt stirring have been elucidated for trapezoidal laws of modulated rotation.
