Transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction studies of Al2CO microcrystals
Results of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) investigations of the alpha'-Al2CO structure are presented. The analysis of X-ray powder diffraction results allowed us to propose a rhombohedral unit cell (space group R3). It is shown that the proposed model of the unit cell is consistent with high-resolution TEM (HRTEM) observations. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
