Sulfated binary oxide solid superacids
Sulfated binary oxide solid superacids were prepared by the chemical method. The structural properties of the catalyst were examined by using BET, XRD, DTA and IR spectroscopy. Acidity properties of the catalysts were tested by Hammett indicator. Catalytic activity of the catalysts was researched by the reaction of glycerin with acetic acid in toluene. The optimum calcined temperature of the catalysts is 450 C. The special surface area of the catalyst is 550 m(2) g(-1). The HAc conversion is 91.4%, when TiO2 content of the catalysts is 13.8 wt.%.
