Synthesis of metal and metal oxide nanocrystallines by pyrolysis of metal complex
Metal and metal oxide nanometer particles were prepared by pyrolysis of metal complex. X-ray diffraction analysis and transmission electron microscopy showed the products were nanocrystals with various morphologies (rod-like or quantum dot). The metal complexes with pyruvic acid oxime (PAO) were characterized by elemental analysis and thermal gravimetric analysis. The mechanism of the thermal decomposition reaction was speculated.
