Layered double hydroxides (LDH) supported nanoplatinum catalyst was prepared and employed for Suzuki cross coupling of aryl halides (iodides and bromides) with a broad range of arylboronic to afford the corresponding biaryls in good to excellent yields without using any external ligand.
