An efficient and environmental-friendly synthesis of 4-hydroxy-arylpiperidines using hydrotalcite catalyst
A practical and convenient method for the synthesis of 4-hydroxy-arylpiperidines, starting from bis-ketonic Mannich-bases (bis-[3-aryl-3oxopropyl]-amines) in the presence of a commercially available non-activated 2:1 Mg:Al hydrotalcite, is described. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
