Process development and process revision - Two sides of one medal .2.
In the second part of this paper a normal procedure in dealing with complete chemical processes will be examined more closely in its single stages. It will be evident that the procedure and the instruments for process development as well as for process revision are formally very similar respectively identical in many stages but they differ significantly in their focal points and meaningfulness. It will be especially evident in looking at the background of knowledge and experience of the person responsible in charge. Process development and process revision are largely working with identical tools, instruments and methods and they are showing similar structures in proceeding, but there are still significant differences identifiable in both cases. Nevertheless the common theme is just the same: a chemical process being functional, safe and economic.
