A mild solution route to bismuth selenoiodide rod-like crystals
Bismuth selenoiodide (BiSeI) millimeter-scale rod-like crystals were synthesized for the first time via a mild solution route based on the reactions of BiCl3, Se with NaI or Bi2Se3 with BiI3 in ethanol solvent at 200degreesC. A possible growth mechanism of the rod-like BiSeI was proposed.
