Pt-Promoted Rb-2.1 H0.9PW12O40 was found to possess uniform micropores with the width of about 0.60 nm and a very small external surface area. This catalyst exhibited sharp shape-selectivity in the hydrogenation of aromatic compounds, distinguishing benzene from in-xylene and 1,3,5-trimethyl-benzene.
