Seneganolide, a novel antifeeding mexicanolide from Khaya senegalensis
Seneganolide, a new mexicanolide type rings B,D-seco limonoid was isolated as insect antifeedant together with a known methyl angolensate from the stern bark of Khaya senegalensis (Meliaceae). The structure was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic means and the antifeedant activity was tested by a conventional leaf disk method.
