Anisotropic indirect nuclear spin-spin coupling in InP: P-31 CPNMR study under slow MAS condition
The indirect nuclear spin-spin interaction tensor between neighboring In-113,In-115-P-31 spins in Fe-doped InP semiconductor has been studied by P-31 NMR spectra measured using CP of In-113 -> P-31 and In-115 -> P-31 under slow MAS condition. The isotropic (J(iso)) and anisotropic (J(aniso) = 2/3[J(parallel to) - J(perpendicular to)]) parts of the indirect interaction tensor are obtained from the spectral simulation. The acceptable combinations of these values are found to be as follows: (J(iso), J(ansio)) = (224 +/- 5, 500 +/- 100 Hz) or (-224 +/- 5, 2100 +/- 100 Hz). Although, the coupling constants estimated in this study are slightly different from previously reported values of vertical bar J(iso)vertical bar = 350 Hz, J(aniso) = 1298 Hz [M. Engelsberg, R.E. Norberg, Phys. Rev. B 5 (1972) 3395] and of vertical bar f(iso)vertical bar - 225 +/- 10, J(aniso) = (813 +/- 50) or (1733 +/- 50) Hz [M. Tomaselli et al., Phys. Rev. B 58 (1998) 8627], all of these has the trend that J(aniso) is rather larger than J(iso). (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
