2D correlation spectra of isotropic and anisotropic Si-29 chemical shifts in crystalline and amorphous natural abundance materials under very slow sample rotation
We present the application of the magic-angle turning technique to Si-29 solid-state NMR of natural abundance crystalline and amorphous solids. Correlations between the isotropic and anisotropic chemical shifts are obtained by rotation of the sample around a single axis at the magic angle. The technique is demonstrated for very slow rotation frequencies and is particularly suitable for the safe rotation of large. samples containing radioactive materials. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V.
