Nuclear-spin intensity alternation and rotational-levels symmetry properties in isotopically-resolved excitation spectrum of Cd-2
An isotopically-resolved excitation spectrum recorded at the (1)0(u)+(5(1)P(1)) <-- X(1)0(g)(+) transition in Cd-2 enables to observe an influence of the nuclear spin I of atomic isotopes and rotational J-number symmetry properties on profiles and intensities of the recorded spectral components. Despite the fact that in the previously reported spectrum a rotational structure was not resolved, for its proper reconstruction it is necessary to include an analysis of the rotational structure, influence of I as well as symmetry of the molecular wavefunction in different rotational states.
