Reducing volume shrinkage by low-temperature photopolymerization
Low-volume-shrinkage poly(triethylene glycol dimethacrylate) was made by photopolymerization at a low temperature. The final double-bond conversion and dynamic mechanical analysis indicated the optimal cure temperature to be -40 degrees C, at which a cured sample had less volume shrinkage than samples cured at room temperature but similar mechanical properties.
