New light-emitting hyperbranched polymers prepared from tribromoaryls and 9,9-dihexylfluorene-2,7-bis(trimethyleneborate)
Three new hyperbranched polymers (P1-P3) were prepared by copolymerization of tribromoaryl moieties (triphenylamine, carbazole and fluorene moieties) with 9,9-dihexylfluorene-2,7-bis(trimethyleneborate) from "A(2) + B-3" approach based on Suzuki polycondensation reaction. They are soluble in common organic solvents, and exhibit good thermal stable luminescence. Interestingly, unlike most of fluorene-containing polymeric materials, P3 emits strong green light due to its special structure. Double-layer devices with configurations ITO/PEDOT/Polymer (50 nm)/TPBI(50 nm)/LiF(0.5 nm)/Al(80 nm) were fabricated and emitted blue or green light, with maximum luminance in the range of 25-142 cd/m(2) and the current efficiency up to 0.18 cd/A.
