Mesoporous Silica Thin Film as a Spatially Extended Probe of Interfacial Electric Fields in Surface Plasmon Resonance Spectroscopy
Mesoporous silica thin film (MTF) on a gold substrate enhances the sensitivity of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy due to both the extension of the interfacial electricfield in SPR and its high surface area, to which more receptor molecules can be attached, compared to a general self-assembled monolayer (SAM) substrate on a gold film.
