Correction on parameters of MMM equation of state for temperature dependence
The constants n(1), n(2), and n(3) and m(1), m(2), and m(3) have been evaluated using experimental saturated liquid density and vapor pressure data of a series of normal hydrocarbons. Then these constants are generalized as functions of Pitzer's acentric factor. Saturation pressure and liquid and gas densities of 48 substances with different characteristics ( at 723 data points) were calculated by the modified MMM EOS, and the results are compared with those of the SRK, SRKVT, and PR EOSs. Also, the modified MMM EOS is used for calculating the compressed liquid density for 23 pure substances ( at 909 data points), the enthalpy change on vaporization at normal boiling point for 58 pure substances, and enthalpy of vaporization at whole saturation region for 30 pure substances ( at 666 data points). The results of calculations are compared with those obtained by the original MMM, SRK, SRKVT, and PR EOSs. Finally, the modified MMM EOS is used for bubble point pressure and gas phase composition prediction of 20 binary mixtures ( at 470 data points). The overall results indicate an improvement by application of the modified MMM EOS.
