Solventless coupling of perfluoroalkylchlorosilanes to atmospheric plasma activated polymer surfaces
Perfluoroalkylchorosilanes are found to readily undergo surface coupling reactions with atmospheric pressure dielectric-barrier discharge activated polymer substrates to yield hydrophobic/oleophobic surfaces. Trichlorosilane variants give rise to much better levels of surface functionalization compared to their monochlorosilane analogues. © 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
