Partial oxidation in the integral reactor: Possibilities of a mathematical description
The mathematical description of chemical reactions is always based on experimental data. However, theoretical considerations usually influence the form of the equations. In the following paper, the authors show how the kinetics of hydrocarbon oxidation may be described in terms of mathematical equations. The advantages of rather simple and more elaborate models are compared and discussed.
