Simulation of the non-stationary behavior of packed-bed reactors for the determination of kinetic expressions in consideration of a non-homogeneous concentration profile in the catalyst pellets
For the modeling of non-stationary catalyst, behavior kinetic expressions that were measured under non-stationary conditions, thus, resulting in more information about the single steps of the adsorption, reaction, and desorption, are required. The authors present a program that allows the simulation of chemical reactor dynamics without having to assume a homogeneous concentration or temperature profile inside the pellets.
