Structure of liquid/liquid interfaces from a lattice gas model
We compare the interfacial structure in a lattice gas model of liquid/liquid interfaces treated by Monte Carlo computer simulations with the predictions from capillary wave theory. We find reasonable agreement for the wave vector dependence of the power spectra of capillary waves and for the surface tensions over a range of interfacial energies, thus establishing a connection between both models.
