Enzymatic reactions in supercritical CO2: carboxylation, asymmetric reduction and esterification
Catalytic reactions in supercritical CO2 have been receiving increased attention during the last decade. This report reviews enzymatic reactions in supercritical CO2 such as carboxylation of pyrrole by a decarboxylase, asymmetric reduction of ketones by an alcohol dehydrogenase and enantioselective esterification of a trifluoromethyl alcohol by a lipase.
