Charge mobility and photovoltaic behaviour of carbocyanine dye layers deposited by thermal evaporation in vacuum
Charge carrier transport and photovoltaic currents have been studied in carbocyanine dye layers prepared by thermal evaporation in vacuum. In a dye layer, J-aggregate formation facilitated with water molecules has been found. The J-aggregate nanocrystals are considered to be responsible for the enhanced charge carrier transport, exciton diffusion and photovoltaic characteristics of an ITO/dye/Al structure.
