Cross-coupling reactions of alkyloxysulfonylarenes with aryl Grignard reagents produced unsymmetrical biphenyl derivatives which are of great interest due to their biological properties. Nikel/N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complex efficiently catalyzed the reactions at room temperature.
