Synthesis of silicon-containing unsaturated polymers by hydrosilylation reactions. Photophysical studies
Silicon-containing unsaturated polymers have been synthesized using the Pt(acac)(2)-catalyzed photoactivated hydrosilylation of alkynes. These polymers fluoresce at 360 nm when excited at 270 ran due to the pi-conjugated vinylphenyl segment in the polymer chain. The polymers have excellent solubility in several organic solvents.
