The possibility and necessity of improving measurement techniques for the antiknock value of automotive gasolines and their components are demonstrated. Switching from determination "by ear" on engine units to measurement of gasoline combustion parameters with modern electronic and computer technology and subsequent estimation of the antiknock value. A Junctional diagram of a setup equivalent in the results of the estimation to engine setups and research methods buffering from them due to the small size. time expended for testing, and small sample volume is given.
