Mechanism of lithium insertion in hollow carbon fibers-based anode
This paper presents the cyclic voltammetry (CV) characteristics concerning the reversibility of lithium insertion into hollow carbon fibers heat-treated at various temperatures (900, 1600, 2200 and 2800 degreesC). To approach the elucidation of the influence of heat treatment temperature (HTT) on the mechanism of the insertion/extraction process occurring with carbon-based anodes, the electrochemical data were supported by the results of both the X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and the BET surface area measurements.
