Characterization of europium substituted lithium lanthanum titanate
A compound (La(1/3+x)Li(3x)square(2/3-4x)TiO(3) (x=0.13)) of cubic perovskite structure with high ionic conductivity was synthesized. Preserving the structure, europium was substituted in the A site at various concentrations. Structural and electrical characterizations were made on these samples. The reduction in grain boundary effect was monitored after sintering the samples by spark plasma sintering (SPS) technique. From the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis, it is reported that the SPS process resulted in well-compacted grains.
