Multisensor systems for chemical analysis: state-of-the-art in Electronic Nose technology and new trends in machine olfaction
Some predictions concerning the technological expansion for the multisensor systems are made based on the analysis of the state-of-the-art Electronic Nose technology and correlation between their principles of functioning and the main mechanisms for olfactory reactions in living organisms. Emphasis is placed on the dynamic aspect of such systems performance, in particular, the additional value of the kinetic behavior when forming chemical images for composite multicomponent media using the multisensor arrays.
