Search for catalysis about flavin in existence of metal ion has led to synthesize benzodiputeridine bearing bipyridine moiety as a metal-binding site (bpy-BDP). Kinetic study of the oxidation of BNAH in bpy-BDP and metal ion suggests that the reaction proceeds via a ternary complex of bpy-BDP-BNAH-M(2+).
