Comparative study on electrochemical techniques for determination of hydrogen diffusion coefficients in metal hydride electrodes
The constant potential discharge technique, constant current discharge technique and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were employed to determine the hydrogen diffusion coefficient in a metal hydride electrode of MlNi(3.65)Co(0.75)Mn(0.4)Al(0.2) alloy with various depth of discharge (DOD) at room temperature and with a specific DOD at various temperatures. The results were compared and the advantages and disadvantages of these techniques were also discussed.
