The effect of branching of alkanes on the liquid-liquid equilibrium of oligostyrene/alkane systems
Liquid-liquid equilibria were measured in a series of solutions of an oligostyrene (1241 amu) in selected linear, branched and cyclic lower alkanes. Correlations between the solubility parameters of the alkane solvents and the experimental upper critical solution temperatures (UCSTs) are reported.
