Random heat flow with phase change
Temperature distributions in structure with random material properties is investigated. Variational methodology is proposed for the analysis of heat flow with phase change using the enthalpy of the system. The solution procedure for phase change effect is discussed. A system of partial differential equations is obtained and solved for the first two probabilistic moments of the random temperature field. The finite element equations are derived.
