Electrochemical alkylation of diethylphosphite
The electrochemically induced Michaelis-Becker reaction includes the cathodic reduction of dialkylphosphites in the presence of alkyl halides in aprotic solvents. The procedure affording various phosphonates in an undivided cell in high yields has been elaborated.
