Combined power stations with integrated fly-stream gasification present a very promising station construction for the future, ans they reach high efficiencies, have low environmental loads and are based on the fossil fuel coal, which is by far the most extensive one. the authors show the developmental possibilities of this power station construction with the help of the Combined Station Puertollano (Spain), which has an integrated PRENFLO-gasification system. Described are the power station layout, the gasification process and considerations of cost-effectiveness.
