Reducing the sulfur content in catalytic naphtha cuts
The distribution of sulfur by narrow naphtha cuts obtained in distillation of catalytic naphtha (CN) was investigated. To reduce the sulfur content in CN, it should be separated into cuts - low-sulfur and high-sulfur (after hydrodesulfuration). Such selective refining allows using up to 50% CN in formulas for contemporary brands of commercial gasolines.
