End-capped carbosilane macromolecules were prepared via the hydrosilation and continual addition of phenylethynyl, amine, bis(trimethylsilyl)amine, and cholesterol groups on the AB(3)-type hyperbranched carbosilane polymer. The matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectroscopic views of the end-capped hyperbranched carbosilanes agreed with the expected mass distribution, in close regularity.
