Optimal process for fabricating AgO cathode for AgO/Zn cells improved in high drain pulse performance at low temperatures
The improvement of high drain pulse performance at low temperatures for AgO/Zn cells was studied. The objective was achieved by fabricating the AgO cathode under optimal conditions for pelletizing, reducing, and consolidating. During the study, it was found that the oxidation of the surface silver layer, which was applied to increase conductivity. of the AgO pellet causes a deterioration of cell performance.
