Structure of liquid caesium-bismuth alloys studied by neutron diffraction
Neutron diffraction experiments were carried out for two liquid alloys with compositions CsBi and Cs3Bi2. The results indicate that probably polyanions with an average number of about two Bi atoms per cluster are formed. This result contrasts with that for liquid Cs-Sb, which contains larger chains as polyanions.
