Extended superstructure in Tl-rich liquid Cs-Tl alloys
The structure factors of liquid caesium-thallium alloys with thallium concentrations of 50 to 85 at. % have been measured by means of neutron diffraction. They exhibit a prepeak which shifts to smaller wave vectors with increasing thallium content. This result is explained using a model in which neutral units Cs,TI, are dissolved in an excess of liquid thallium.
