Vibrational constants and binding energies for the A(2)Pi and X-2 Sigma states of Sr+Kr from photodissociation spectroscopy
Two vibrational progressions corresponding to transitions from the X (2)Sigma(1/2) electronic ground state to the excited A (2)Pi(1/2) and A (2)Pi(3/2) spin-orbit states for the Sr+Kr complex in the energy region between 22 000 and 23 750 cm(-1) are investigated by Laser photofragmentation spectroscopy. From isotope-resolved measurements the absolute numbering of the vibrational numbers is obtained and thus the vibrational constants and the binding energies of the involved electronic states. The results are compared with similar systems and explained in the framework of an electrostatic potential model.
