Myoglobin-catalyzed epoxidation of styrene in organic solvents accelerated by bioimprinting
Myoglobin imprinted in aqueous solution with ligands binding to its heme iron, followed by lyophilization, catalyzed the epoxidation of styrene with H2O2 or tert-butyl hydroperoxide in organic solvents much faster than the non-imprinted protein under otherwise the same conditions.
