Experimental results are reported for the excess molar volumes V-E and excess molar enthalpies H-E of {ethanol, or 1-propanol, or 2-propanol, or 1-butanol, or 2-butanol, or 1-octanol + tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME)} at T = 298.15 K. A vibrating-tube densimeter was used to determine V-E. Excess molar enthalpy was measured using a quasi- isothermal flow calorimeter. The applicability of the ERAS model to the description of the excess properties has been investigated. (C) 2000 Academic Press.
