Extended X-ray absorption fine structure analysis of the bipyridine copper complexes in atom transfer radical polymerization
The structure of the copper bpy catalyst in atom transfer radical polymerization was investigated in solutions of nonpolar solvents. It could be proved that the expected tetrahedral CUT structure is the predominant structure in polymerization reactions. As counterions, different copper halides were detected.
