TechTool - Computer-aided generation of process models (Part 1 - A generic mathematical language)
The generic mathematical language (GML) is a modeling formalism for the declaration of steady state, dynamic as well as combined continuous/discrete chemical processing models. It establishes the foundation for the phenomena-oriented model generation environment TechTool. This brief discussion presents an object-oriented paradigm for modeling and design based on object instantiation, prototype inheritance and interfaces. This new object relation framework in combination with dynamic compilation facilitates evolutionary model development and can be of critical importance for large-scale process models.
