Detailed design of multivariable predictive cascade is presented in this paper. Modifications of the usual predictive algorithm which are appropriate to take the largest profit from the advanced structure are proposed. Moreover, criteria for the choice of multiple secondary measurements are developed. Application to dual composition control of a distillation column with one or two secondary measurements shows the effectiveness of both the criteria. and the control structure.
