On the diffusion past a staggered array of rectangular fibers
The diffusion past a two-dimensional staggered array of rectangular fibers is solved by eigenfunction expansion and matching. The effective conductivities are obtained for a variety of geometries in three perpendicular directions. The results are useful for diffusion through fiber-reinforced composites and also paper pulp.
