Stable monolayers and Langmuir-Blodgett Films of a new crown ether-bearing [60]fulleropyrrolidine containing benzothiazolium styryl dye
A novel class of crown ether-bearing [60]fulleropyrrolidine containing benzothiazolium styryl dye has first been synthesized and characterized. Langmuir and Langmuir-Blodgett films of the compounds can be produced and surface pressure-area isotherms of the compounds are obtained. The compounds can form excellent Langmuir monolayers on pure water subphase. The area of per molecule increases with addition of KCl to the water subphase. W-vis spectra are employed for LB films characterization, which disclose good quality films.
